Our suggested route gives the day a strong structure, but this is not simply the eight-hour tour compressed into less time. The idea is to be more selective from the beginning.

Rio Sunrise can start with the special early-access experience at Sugarloaf on Saturdays or from one of Rio’s viewpoints on any day of the week.
After sunrise, the experience continues as a private tour of the city.
Best starting point if: Seeing Rio at first light is worth the very early start.

What can change

A starting route is not a script.

Depending on the experience, we can discuss changes to:

the places you visit;
the order of the day;
how much time you spend at different stops;
the balance between major landmarks and other parts of Rio;
lunch or food preferences;
interests such as history, architecture, neighborhoods, photography or views;
the starting time when the logic of the experience allows it.

But useful personalization also means knowing when a change creates a trade-off.

Traffic, attraction schedules, timed tickets, weather, distance and the time already used can affect what fits comfortably.

We will tell you when a combination works well — and when trying to fit everything in would make the day worse.

Private setup and what is included

Whichever starting point you choose, the experience is organized around your group.

The standard private setup normally includes:

a licensed tour guide in the language arranged for your group;
a private vehicle;
a professional driver;
pick-up and drop-off at agreed locations within the city of Rio de Janeiro;
complimentary bottled water.

Your guide focuses on the experience with you while the driver handles the vehicle, traffic, parking and logistics on the road.

You are not joining another group or following a shared sightseeing schedule.

Some starting points include specific attraction tickets as part of their standard proposal.

For example, the suggested setup for one route may include Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf, while a different configuration can involve another set of arrangements.

If we change the route, the inclusions can change too.

That is why your proposal always confirms exactly what is included before you decide.

There is no need to work that out from a generic list on the website.
