ONE PRINCIPLE, TWO DIFFERENT DAYS
Personalization does not work in exactly the same way in the mountains and on the water.
We can shift the emphasis of the day around imperial history and architecture, Brazilian lives and culture, German heritage, or places beyond the central Historic Center.
The goal is not to fit everything into eight hours. It is to decide what deserves those eight hours.
The first decision is between the Classic and Lopes Mendes routes. From there, pace and priorities can be adjusted where conditions and logistics allow.
A private boat gives us flexibility. It does not override the sea.
In both cases, the starting point gives the day a structure without turning it into a fixed script.
Both starting points are organized around your group, with private road transportation, a licensed guide and a separate professional driver. Petrópolis stays on land; Ilha Grande adds a speedboat reserved for your group and a separate sailor responsible for navigation and safety.
The exact setup is confirmed for your chosen day before you decide.
Travel time, traffic, attraction opening days, boarding arrangements, weather and — on Ilha Grande — sea conditions can all shape the route.

Considering Petrópolis on a Monday? The day can still work, but some major interiors are closed, so the emphasis shifts toward the Historic Center, architecture, exteriors and other available stops.
Considering Ilha Grande? Maritime conditions matter. The planned route, sequence and occasionally an individual stop can change when safe navigation requires it.
